President arrives in Male

President Mahinda Rajapaksa who left the island to take part in the 17th SAARC summit has arrived in Maldives. The President and First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa were received by Maldivian President Mohomed Nasheed and First Lady Laila Ali Abdulla on their arrivel at Addu-Gan International Airport in Maldives today(9), the President’s Media Unit said.
The 17th SAARC Summit will be held at Addu city in Maldives from 10-11 November. President Rajapaksa is addressing the Summit tomorrow(10), the President’s Media Unit added.

President is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with his regional counterparts on the sidelines of the Summit.
