We urge you to post your comments in Sinhala, Tamil or English. The JNW website will soon be trilingual with better facilities for posting in Sinhala and Tamil. In the meantime, please choose to post in Sinhala using either unicode or the kaputadotcom font or in Tamil using unicode or Baamini font.
To install fonts simply download and copy font into c:\windows\fonts folder and refresh your browser or go to Start > Settings > control panel > fonts then select install new font.

When I see the comment by chathuranga perera where it says that he/she feels “lankaenews website is biased towards the LTTE” – I am confused and wanting to understand…
I see only two reference to the LTTE on the current page of lankaenews (with 55 plus articles on it). One is an article titled “Troops capture 3 LTTE camps in Thoppigala” which is quoting the Military spokesperson claiming to have killed 30 LTTE cadres and “running over three LTTE camps in the area”. The other reference to the LTTE is in an article titled “Group forcibly enters Alles’s home; evidence of LTTE deal taken”…
All the other articles seem to be on govt’ and on things happening in the south both political sphere, economic sphere, etc.,
How is the biased towards the LTTE? Please explain more fully what you mean?

I am a Christian and writing in concern of the religious persecution in Sri Lanka. There have been at least 74 church attacks in Sri Lanka in the past year. Churches have been burned, broken into and vandalized, church meetings stopped by extremist groups, pastors beaten, assaults, death threats and girls almost raped. God does not condone violence and anyone who commits murder will not be with him in Heaven. Commiting evil acts does not equate with deserving paradise. Trusting in Jesus Christ as one’s Lord and Savior and doing what is right does.

High time the Sinhalese parties make a joint effort to meet thereasonable demands of Tamils who wants freedom and to save innocent lives both Tamils and Sinhalese.
