Eelam should federate with India

The happenings in Sri Lanka is a cause for anger in every right thinking human being. The Eelam Tamils are being subjected to genocide and the worst atrocities imaginable by the Singhalese dominated racist Sri Lanka government. It is disappointing to see the international community looking on without taking action. Worse, it is shocking that the Congress Indian government is giving military and financial help to the Sri Lankan government to carry out this extermination of the Tamil Hindu minority.
The Chinese and Pakistanis have supplied lethal arms, chemical weapons and multi barrel rockets to the Sri Lankan government to slaughter Tamils. Many Western powers cut off financial aid sent by the Tamil Diaspora to the Eelam Tamils. Many countries banned the LTTE, encouraging the Sri Lankan government to invade Tamil Eelam.
The LTTE has been cornered in a small area in Mullaitivu district by the Singhalese armed forces. Before the Rajapakse government started the offensive in 2006, LTTE controlled 80 % of the Tamil homeland, and ran an efficient Eelam administration with army, navy, air force, police, judiciary, taxation, banks, health services, education etc. The Sri Lankan government has destroyed Tamil Eelam by an unscrupulous scorched earth policy. The Eastern Province (South Eelam) occupied by the Singhalese army has been transformed into a puppet province without any powers under Tamil stooges.
The Tamil Tigers were formed after the state sponsored genocide carried out in 1983 by the Singhalese thugs and armed forces on the defenseless Tamils, to defend the helpless Tamil civilians. 90 % of Tamil property in Singhalese majority areas were destroyed and looted and about 3,000 Tamils were killed. Tamil women were raped and prisoners massacred in jails It is only the firm intervention and warning by Indira Gandhi that stopped further atrocities.
For thirty years, the Eelam Tamil leadership carried out passive non violent resistance to Singhalese discrimination without success. Singhalese Only Bill was passed in 1956 and Tamils were denied jobs and higher education. Singhalese thugs went about demanding ‘Kappam’ (ranson) from Tamils and made life intolerable. Singhalese uprooted the Tamils and colonized the Tamil homeland by planting Singhalese criminals. Consequently, about 800,000 Tamils sought refuge in Indian U.K., Europe, Canada, Australia, U.S.A, and different parts of the world.
The Indian government failed to act when the entire Tamils of the plantation were disenfranchised in the very year of independence in 1948 and made stateless. The plantation Tamils had lived in Sri Lanka for centuries, but were uprooted under the Srima-Sastri pact and more than half were forcibly expatriated to South India , a land they had never seen. The non violent protests by Tamil plantation leaders were ignored.
The Sri Lankan armed forces were able to defeat the Tamil Tigers due to their numerical superiority. The Eelam Tamils are outnumbered one to eight by the Singhalese. The revolt of Kaurn Amman, the Eastern Tiger commander considerably weakened the LTTE. Singhalese successfully followed divide and rule policy. There are quislings among Tamils like Douglas Devananda, Anandasangaree and Pillayan.
The Tamil civilians of Vanni retreated with the Tigers into Mullaitivu. About 250,00 Tamil civilians were said to be trapped in the small combat area. The Sri Lankan government declared no fire zones for the Tamil civilians to take refuge and then slaughtered them by using heavy artillery and aerial bombing.
Over 110,000 Tamils have been forced by the Singhalese army to surrender and are being kept in concentration camps behind barbed wire. According to reports, Tamil girls and women are being separated and raped by the Singhalese occupying army. Tamil young boys and men are removed from the camps and slaughtered. Tamil IDPs are being starved by the Singhalese armed guards who are restricting food supplies by Tamil volunteers and NGOs.
The Rajapakse brothers and Sarath Fonseka, who are holding power in Sri Lanka are racist war criminals. The worst of them are Gothabaya Rajapakse and Sarath Fonsekas, anti Tamil maniacs, who ordered the bombing of no fire zones and Tamil hospitals. Anbumani Ramados has said that if returned to power, they will haul them to the international court for crimes against humanity.
The situation is beyond redemption and separation is the only way out.. A two state solution alone can remedy matters. Jayalalitha, the former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister has hit the nail on the head. She has consoled the world Tamil community by publicly declaring that a separate Eelam is the solution as Tamils are being treated as slaves by the Singhalese. The plight of Eelam Tamils is similar to that of Palestinians.
Jayalaltha has boldly declared that she will do all she can to persuade the Central Government to send the Indian army to create Eelam. She has become the symbolic mother of World Tamils. Tamils in Tamil Nadu, Eelam, South Africa, Malaysia, Mauritius and other parts of the world look to her to come to the rescue of Eelam Tamils. The Tamil dinosaur has been provoked by the Singhalese Buddhist fanatical predators and has awakened. They are playing with fire by rousing 70 million Tamil people.
Turkey has separated Northern Cyprus from the Southern part. Recently Russia, entered Georgia and annexed two provinces. If Indira Gandi can send the Indian army to create Bangladesh, and Rajiv Gandhi can send it into Sri Lanka and Maldives, Jayalaltha has every right to ask the Indian army to return to Sri Lanka. It is most unfortunate that the IPKF had to be withdrawn due to bungling by both LTTE and the Indian government.
The Tamil National Alliance headed by Sampanthan has 22 Tamil members in Parliament and they should take the initiative and invite the Indian army. Eelam can have our own democratically elected Chief Minister and legislature like Pondichery, Tamil Nadu, Goa and other states. The destiny of Tamil Eelam should be decided by Eelam Tamils and not by the hostile alien Singhalese. The entity of Tamil Eelam (Northeast Province) is non negotiable.
Eelam should federate with India and not with Sri Lanka. Tamils are linguistically, religiously and culturally firmly connected like the umbilical cord to India, and not to the Singhalese, who are perennial enemies of Tamils. Blood is thicker than water.
