Sri Lanka Football Federation of Sri Lanka has suspended five national football players in connection with match fixing during the South Association Football Federation tournament last year.
Players who have been suspended are ; Kasun Jayasuriya, E. B. Channa, Sadhish Kumar, Asanka Viraj and Maduska Pieris-JNW

Sangakkara became the ninth batsman to aggregate 1000 IPL runs. Others are – SK Raina (1316), AC Gilchrist (1201). RG Sharma (1168), SR Tendulkar (1113), JH Kallis (1097), ML Hayden (1082) and YK Pathan (1011).
Sangakkara’s 1009 runs have come from 37 matches, 34 innings of which two were not outs. His highest score is 94. He has an average of 31.53 runs per innings. He has scored eight half centuries and two zeroes. He has scored 117 boundary four and 18 boundary sixes-JNW

Sri Lanka have called up uncapped wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Chandimal in their 15-man squad for next month’s Twenty20 World Cup while veteran Sanath Jayasujriya has found a place in the 15-man tour party.
