A woman from Las Vegas is charged with killing her own mother on Wednesday, allegedly using pieces of broken glass, after telling officers during a previous arrest in late August that they were only holding her because she is ‘good-looking.

In Clark County, Hend Bustami, 28, is charged with open murder in the death of her mother Afaf Hussanen, 61, on October 26 in their Las Vegas home. According to county records, she is also accused of trying to avoid being arrested in San Bernardino County, California.

According to a police report that KLAS was able to obtain, Bustami reportedly told dispatchers on Wednesday, “I think I killed my mommy,” before hanging up the phone suddenly.

Prior to being discovered driving on a roadway covered in blood by California authorities on Wednesday morning, the 28-year-old apparently confessed to the murder. According to KLAS, she later admitted to stabbing Hussanen with glass shards after getting into a disagreement with her mother.
