AP Photo/Jacquelyn Martin After many pharmacies around the nation were unable to fill prescriptions and keep up with demand, the FDA acknowledged the country was facing an Adderall shortage.
The medication, commonly referred to as combined amphetamine salts, is used to treat narcolepsy and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
The FDA stated, “We will keep an eye on supply, support manufacturers with whatever is required to end the shortage, and update our website with fresh supply information as it becomes available.”
