Trial of Florida’s “Killer Clown” is being delayed despite fresh information about “credible” clown sighting leads from a 1990s murder.

The trial for a Florida woman charged in the infamous 1990 “Killer Clown” case in the state has been postponed yet again after defense counsel successfully argued for more time to review recently uncovered material about additional clown sightings at the time, according to court documents.

After being delayed a dozen times, jury selection in the long-running case involving alleged murderer Sheila Keen Warren was finally set to begin this week. However, the trial was once again postponed after the prosecution provided the defense team with a “clown sighting file” that they had long requested, according to court records reported by The Associated Press.

In 1990, Keen Warren was charged with visiting Marlene Warren’s home in South Florida while donning white face paint, a red nose, and an orange wig. She allegedly gave the victim flowers and balloons before fatally shooting her in the face.

Keen Warren wed the victim’s husband, who was also her boss at the time of the homicide, in the years before she was discovered. She was detained in 2017 after 27 years and entered a not-guilty plea to first-degree murder.

Despite having previously claimed that they lacked such records, prosecutors said on Wednesday that they had discovered the “clown sighting file.”

According to the article, the 25-page dossier includes details about more instances of clown sightings in the vicinity around the time of Warren’s murder. It apparently has names and phone numbers for ‘approximately 40 genuine’ leads on clown sightings.
