In Washington Former President Donald Trump was blasted by the White House on Monday for encouraging American Jews over the weekend to “get their act together” and “appreciate” Israel “before it is too late.”

During a press briefing, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre referred to Trump’s remarks on his Truth Social website as “antisemitic” and “insulting” to “Jews and to our Israeli partners.”

She claimed that Donald Trump had sided with radical and antisemitic figures for years.

No President has done more for Israel than I have, wrote Trump on Sunday. Trump has regularly compared American Jews to Israelis and said that his actions in moving the American embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem have earned him more electoral support. Surprisingly, however, Jews, especially those who reside in the United States, are significantly less appreciative of this than our lovely Evangelicals.

Jewish organizations slammed Trump’s remarks right away because they relied on the stereotype that American Jews are more committed to Israel than to the United States.

CEO of the Anti-Defamation League Jonathan Greenblatt stated in an interview with MSNBC on Monday that “these are terrible words at a dangerous time.” He has been using antisemitic cliches about Jewish dominance, Jewish wealth, and Jewish dual loyalties for years.

In the past, the White House has been hesitant to confront Trump directly about his incendiary remarks. However, Jean-Pierre asserted on Monday that ugly speech and antisemitism “should be called out.”
