Since his abortion story, Herschel Walker has raised over $500,000.

Since his Monday appearance on Fox’s Hannity, Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker’s campaign has raised more than $500,000, a Walker source familiar with the situation told NBC News on Wednesday. That appearance followed the Daily Beast broke the story that he had funded an abortion for a former girlfriend in 2009.

Senator Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., is Walker’s opponent in the Georgia Senate campaign. Walker has refuted the report, and since then, national Republicans have backed him. Walker is currently in the running neck-and-neck position.

Even prominent national pro-life organizations like the Susan B. Anthony List continue to support Walker and stand by their support. The group claimed in a statement released yesterday that Raphael Warnock wanted to see unborn children killed through unrestricted abortion whereas Herschel Walker wanted to protect them.

The accusations against Walker have not yet been confirmed by NBC News, and the documents that The Daily Beast mentions have not been examined.
Walker’s recent fundraising of $500,000 is noteworthy, but Warnock still outraises Walker overall.

Warnock has raised about $85 million this cycle, while Walker has only raised slightly more than $20 million in the same period of time, according to the FEC.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Warnock earned $26 million in just the third quarter of this year. According to a press release from his team, Walker raised $12 million during the same time frame.

Walker also issued a new ad in response to the Daily Beast article, in which he claims, “I had a serious fight with my mental health, as everyone is aware, and I even wrote a book about it. By God’s grace, I was able to triumph over it.”
