Fuel business warns of a diesel scarcity and claims that things are “rapidly deteriorating.”

A significant gasoline logistics and supply company is sounding the alarm about impending diesel fuel shortages.

The advisory, which was released by Mansfield Energy on Friday, warned of an impending scarcity of diesel fuel in the southeast of the country. A record low supply of fuel reserves, according to the firm, and poor pipeline shipping efficiencies may be to blame for the scarcity.

According to the firm, shortages are being caused by record low diesel stockpiles and poor pipeline shipment economics in a number of areas around the Southeast. These have been irregular, with Tennessee experiencing particularly severe issues.

THEFT FEARS AND FIREWOOD PRICES INCREASE DUE TO EUROPE’S ENERGY CRISIS

The following states are anticipated to be severely impacted by the shortage: Maryland, Virginia, Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
The Biden government

says it is closely monitoring diesel inventories and making efforts to increase supplies in light of reports that reserves have been reduced and may be exhausted in less than a month if not refilled, raising concerns about shortages and price increases.

Release of oil reserves is condemned by the Saudi Energy Minister as a “mechanism to manipulate markets.”

According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA), the U.S. has only 25 days’ worth of diesel reserves as of October 14—a level not seen since 2008. Director of the National Economic Council Brian Deese told Bloomberg that the situation is “unacceptably low” and that “all options are on the table” to fix it.

Mansfield moved to Alert Level 4 to address market volatility, according to a news release, “since conditions are rapidly deteriorating and market economics are changing dramatically every day.”

“Mansfield is also putting the Southeast on Code Red,” the business stated, “and asking for 72-hour notice for deliveries whenever possible to guarantee gasoline and freight can be secured at reasonable levels.”

About a million barrels of home heating oil are kept in the Northeast Home Heating Oil Reserve (NEHHOR). To help lower home heating costs in the area as winter approaches, House Democrats from New England are requesting that President Biden release some of those reserves.

However, analysts claim that the
Lack of house heating oil
not be eliminated any time soon.
