Particularly on Twitter, with the “ poorly drawn cats ” account, everything began. The story’s basic premise is that artist Helosa Nora creates drawings of cats using photographs of real cats. Even if the drawings don’t have many details, they are nevertheless perfect in the way that they accurately depict each particular cat.

When Grant Schroeder decided to try to commission a drawing of his cat, Luna, who was then a cute tiny black kitten with green eyes, he was following the account.

The drawing was created by Nora in 2019 and was uploaded to her account as usual. British citizen Emma Ferguson noticed that at that point. She also owned a Luna-named cat. Ferguson visited Schroeder’s account after viewing Nora’s drawing.

“I noticed a picture of him holding his Luna on his Instagram. Obviously, the cute boy and kitten must come next! “she informed NPR.

So I sent her a Twitter message saying, “Hey, your animals are cute,” he explained to NPR. Then, as we got to know one another, we just started talking about our kitties. Eventually, we started FaceTiming regularly, and we gradually grew to love one another.

Grant Schroeder and Emma Ferguson Schroeder was in Oregon at the time, while Ferguson was in Liverpool, England, so their first encounter was FaceTiming only.

Schroeder boarded a plane in January 2020 to finally bring the two together in person. A few weeks later, he was back. Ferguson was supposed to travel to Oregon in May 2020, but the coronavirus pandemic and associated travel bans had already taken effect by then. In August 2021, following more than a year of travel delays, the two were reunited.

Schroeder stated, “We had known from the beginning that we both loved each other and wanted to make this work.
On New Year’s Eve of last year, the couple got engaged, and they wed on July 24.

However, he added, “things have a weird way of coming out. Obviously, I had no idea that I was about to find my wife through Twitter.”

Ferguson thought along similar lines.

She claimed, “I just assumed I’d get to see posts of his pet on my timeline.” “I received a whole deal more than that, and I’m delighted I did.”

Nora expressed her utter happiness for the pair and the unexpected role she played in bringing them together.

She remarked, “It’s nice what we can accomplish with the internet now. “I never would have thought that a cat drawing would produce such a lovely novel,” the author said.

The pair stated that they intend to have a third cat and have already decided on the name Cheddar.
We anticipate that they will be large, orange, and attractive, Schroeder added.

Through Twitter, Schroeder stayed in touch with Nora, updating her on the whereabouts of his cat Luna and informing her when he and Ferguson became engaged. For the couple, who wed in July, Nora created this drawing. Helosa No caption Nora
